This was GREAT fun to watch, even if I only knew a few of the references :_cheerquill: My favorite part was watching you get so passionate and hype over your favorite things, it's so infectious :_pien::_heart: I got through the whole vod while packing for an upcoming trip of my own tomorrow! For '06, it's very much that the events regarding the game have been repressed, not "retconned to not be canon anymore" like most people assume (after all, it's the most referenced game in the whole series if you pay attention to a lot of the Japanese/sonic channel marketing over the years). Like the events themselves still technically HAPPENED, it's just "access" in and out of those events have been denied. Mephiles's seal imprisonment is actually a good representation of that, he's still "technically" a part of the world, but he's in a form where he can't connect outside the confines of his imprisonment. Granted I'm also of the mind that by the end of '06, Solaris was fragmented again but in more pieces than JUST Mephiles and Iblis, with those pieces being spread across time and space. Like the Time Eater being a fragment of Mephiles's ability to manipulate time, or Blaze and her entire dimension being somewhat of a piece of Solaris that controls space. Here is how I view it personally, when Blaze took Iblis from Silver's era to an alternate dimension, it was more just a pocket dimension originally, but due to Solaris reforming, she became the sun-like weak spot which explains why she doesn't appear at the end (mostly because I also think she was originally a bigger part of the story that eventually became both Mephiles & Elise), and when Sonic & Elise blow out Solaris's flame, it split Solaris again. With that, Blaze sort of "rubberbands" back to her pocket dimension but with fragments of Solaris that control space (along of course with the memory wipe that everyone else experiences, and no, NO one remembers, not this "Sonic and Elise still remember" thing because even with them, all anyone has are vague "deja vu"-like feelings about '06's events and locations), but because time is also distorted in the final story, she either "steals" and/or "copies" elements from both Sonic & Silver's eras to create the Sol Dimension & the items that keep the dimension together (whether or not she basically actually ACCIDENTALLY stole elements and locations from those eras or just made alt dimension copies, we can't be sure of yet, keyword "yet"). Yes, this means that I am in the group and of the mind that Rush is a sequel to '06 because trying to do it the other way creates too many hoops and leaps in logic to make sense and would mean a LOT of "off-screen" storytelling would have to take place to get Blaze.

I just finished watching the VOD- I had a lot of fun watching!! It was so great seeing your reactions to everything. I had the same initial reaction of like- "is this westopolis or radical highway?" haha. It's gotta be because of the way you start by falling downwards. Anyone who's completed Shadow's game is way too familiar with that setpiece.
