I MADE THESE ROLLS FOR THANKSGIVING 2023. THESE ROLLS ARE SO DELICIOUS, SO SOFT, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHEW FOR LONG. THEY MELT IN UR MOUTH. THE ONLY THING I DID DIFFERENTLY, BEFORE I PREPARED I DIVIDED THE BATCH INTO HAVE. I HAD A SMALL GATHERING AND I DIDN'T NEED SO MANY ROLLS. WHEN I DIVIDED THE BATCH, I HAD 9 ROLLS. THE RECIPE IS SO EASY, THAT I CAN PREPARE IT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR. WHEN MY FAMILY TOOK A BITE OUT OF THE ROLLS, THEIR EYES WERE STRETCHED WIDE AND EVERYONE SAID, "OH MY GOD, WHAT VIDEO TAUGHT YOU THIS RECIPE." SO THE REST OF MY THANKSGIVING WE WERE TALKING ABOUT CLAUDIA AND VIEWING BOTH OF HER CHANNELS. SO, I DON'T KNOW IF CLAUDIA'S EARS WERE RINGING, BC SHE WAS THE TOPIC OF MY THANKSGIVING DAY. CLAUDIA, THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND TAKING YOUR TIME AT EVERY COOKING STEP.
Permit 2-3 hours for the dough to rise. After you form the rolls permit 1 additional hour for rising before baking. I made the mistake of giving myself too little time before a Thanksgiving dinner and my rolls were rather small. Just a friendly tip that I hope helps one of you out.
I made today…. I used 1/3 of it to make a loaf of bread…. OMG …. I’ll never use another recipe. This is perfect!!!!!
OMG! CLAUDIA, these turned out so good! Thank you for all your amazing recipes. You are a true talent in the cooking/baking world!
I just made them today & they turned out so good even for the first try! Thanks so much for the amazing recipe! Ps. I didn’t have the shortening so, I used the avocado oil.
Made these for a ladies luncheon recently, and got RAVE reviews. They were delicious. Since it was all for ladies who sometimes pretend to be healthy conscious, I subbed in a single cup of whole wheat flour and still did the rest all purpose. Still rose beautifully and the color and flavor was phenomenal! I am already getting requests to make them again for the next luncheon.
Made these today and this will be my go to from now on. They are soooo good. Soft, fluffy, sweet, buttery, and tender. My honey said, “you did that!” And that is the highest praise around here lol. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I just made them, i had them with grape jelly and a glass of milk, which reminds me of when I was a kid . Thank you so much! 💕
I made these for my family tonight and they are so delecious! I did not have a stand mixer so I kneaded by hand and came out so good! Thank you! ❤😊
Made these tonight, doubled the recipe, the dough is just perfect, great recipe. The doubled recipe made 38. - 2.3-2.5 oz. Thanks so much ❣️🤗
Amazing rolls! This will be my go to recipe from now on. Have already made three batches! Muchas gracias!❤
These rolls are so delicious and fluffy! Everything I was hoping it would be. The recipe is totally fool-proof as well. So easy to follow. Thank you for sharing. Definitely a keeper!
Thank you, everything turned out so good. The dinner rolls turned out just like in your video so fluffy and yummy. Your recent turkey recipe and one of your older gravy recipes.
Claudia, I've been baking longer than you've been alive! I was just looking to try a different recipe, and i LOVE all your Mexican food recipes. Made these rolls last night, and OMG they're amazing...so soft and fluffy, and taste great. Anyone on the fence, dont be, they're amazing rolls. Thank you Claudia!
Amazing...looks easy enough for me (let's pray). I appreciate your videos and step by step instructions even adding all the ingredients you'll be using. Which is so helpful ❤ thank you Claudia 😊
Oh my goodness gracious! Claudia these are amazing! Can't wait to make these.
Beautiful! Light and fluffy dinner rolls! Delicious!
Omg ,best dinner rolls I ever made ,my family loved them.Thank you so much for this recipe ❤
I’ve made these three times - the recipe is very similar to my grandmother’s - but is “easier” using the mixer and there is not a second rise time. My only question - each and every time I’ve done them the 5 cups of flour is just not enough - my dough after the 7 minute knead time falls of the hook as an almost thick batter and very sticky. The first time I added almost an extra cup of flour - the last two tries I’ve cut the milk back by a tad and didn’t add too much extra flour - will see how it is after the rise. Just don’t know how you got your dough that stiff to hang off your dough hook and not stick to your hands with only 5 cups of flour. Recipe is delicious and I’m not complaining (since this is the recipe I’m using for thanksgiving!) but wondered if anyone has l actually made these yet like me and found the dough very wet. Thank you!
