Another school teacher here… I have several Special Education students in my class who depend on Title I funds for support. Lord knows I need those therapists, counselors, etc. to help me educate these students. We barely have what we need to teach. I swear this nation wants our children under educated to continue their MAGA agenda… it’s infuriating!!

The Department of Education was established by the Department of Education Organization Act of 1979, which means it was created through legislation. Only Congress has the power to repeal or amend this law to dismantle the department. I hope some group or Democrats sue and block this in the courts.

Good morning David. This reading was super important, because education is the best thing that can happen to any generation. All nations want the upcoming generation to be really well educated so we have responsible governing of all departments. The future depends on this. Cutting education is not a very bright move. ❤from Canada 🇨🇦

Hi David. I am a retired teacher. People have no idea how much teachers love their kids. The Federal Department of Education sets policies for how to help students with disabilities. They also support poor school Districts. Trump voters also live in poor red states. Those states will suffer. I worked two full time professions to afford to give my students the best experiences I could imagine. Republicans have filthy minds. No teacher, I've ever known talked to kids about sexual orientation, nor did we focus on the evils of the USA. I was proud of my work. I'm 68, and I'm still FB friends with former students. No child should ever go hungry. No student should be punished for things beyond their control. Most teachers teach because it's a calling.

Was the department of education originated for Americans to have common information across the nation and recently, no child left behind. This shake-up is very important and scary.

Trump said (1) "I love the poorly educated" and (2) that his tariffs are designed to bring a lot of factories back to the United States. My guess is that he wants most people to be only educated enough to work in the factories that he thinks are coming back to the United States.
