Musicbed is the best thing I’ve found for narrative projects short of hiring a composer. Musicbed is not low cost. If you can find music that suits your projects at a lower cost elsewhere, you might be better off committing your financial resources to other aspects of production outside of music licensing. Know however that if you cut corners on the quality of your music for narrative projects like short and feature length films, people will notice. Similarly when you commit significant resources to music for your short and feature length films, people notice that too so it’s a double edged sword going for you or against you. For content creation when making YouTube videos and background music for intros, outros, voiceover etc. I can speak only for myself when I say that I don’t expect music that moves me emotionally when watching a YouTube video in the same way that I hope music will move me when I’m watching a feature length film. If your project has a long expected shelf life, such as a short or feature length film it would be wise to commit more financial resources to that type of project over a quick product review for YouTube, but we live in a sea of online opinions and I am just one filmmaker expressing my thoughts. I’m making an effort to give back to the YouTube filmmaking community that has helped me so much. Thanks for the videos Tommy. 👍
