A cowgirl who's obsessed with Japanese culture, eh?  I'm actually in the middle of an expansion for Borderlands 3 that's filled with them; the town looks like an Old West town with Japanese-style roofs, and they blurt out things like, "Well, thank ya there, Tomodachi."  Weird coincidence.  This game looks hilarious, not just because it's a cowgirl with a saber hacking up giant mechs, but just some of the things the horse can do; reminds me of this Bollywood movie I saw with this guy riding a horse through rush hour traffic, and at one point, it SLIDES UNDER AN 18-WHEELER.

Wasn't expecting this with a Sakura Wars game, but I'm pleasantly suprised. Would have loved playing this back on the PS2, too bad they didn't localise it in the west. Great video Bio!

lol, love that comparison shift but it’s true, so many people label a game as trash without experiencing a really bad game. 
I’ve been wanting to play at least one game in the Sakura Wars franchise and from what I’ve heard the PS4 entry is a pretty good title but it isn’t a tactical turn based game which kind of sucks but oh well, I still need to try it.

At first, i didn't like this game but i don't hate it either, but overtime i started to appreciate what it's trying to do, since Gemini is the best part of the game and Sakura Wars V.
And if you love Sakura Wars as much i do, give it a shot or skip it.
Also unlockable Sakura, cool.

Sakura War V Episode 0 might be an average beat-em up, it has charm and serviceable. The horse can do a flash kick, that's hilarious.

Fun fact: this game was developed by THE SAME people who developed Shinobi and Altered Beast games on PS2. If you play Altered Beast on PS2 you will see similarity in controls and gameplay between Altered Beast 2005 and this game.

Looks like the combat is very similar to Musashi Samurai Legend, spinning the left stick for a spin attack and tapping forward on the left stick to do a thrust attack.

I would've like it if SEGA re-release not only the V episode 0, but also Sakura Wars V both in one physical release bonus in all systems (Switch version for me personally) but in tell that possibility to happen, I'll just grab a pirate hat and a ship and sail.
Yeah, I to also play this game a bit and to me it a lot of fun playing as Gemini Sunrise and her gravity defying horse, just wish someone can make a translation to make the game little more tolerable to play
