Sigiriya is truly a marvel of ancient engineering and artistry. The advanced technology used to build this fortress is simply mind-boggling. From the intricate water gardens to the rock-carved architecture and polished Mirror Wall, the builders of Sigiriya were truly ahead of their time. The fact that the irrigation system still works to this day is a testament to the ingenuity and skill of the ancient Sri Lankan people.

Moreover, the frescoes at Sigiriya are some of the best-preserved examples of ancient Sri Lankan art, and the level of detail and sophistication is astounding. The women depicted in the frescoes wear intricate jewelry and have elaborately styled hair and clothing. The fact that these paintings have survived for over a thousand years is remarkable, and speaks to the durability of the materials and techniques used.

In my opinion, the evidence of advanced technology and artistry at Sigiriya is undeniable. It's a true testament to the creativity, skill, and ingenuity of ancient civilizations, and a reminder that there is so much we can learn from our past.

@GarlicMonoxide

One of the oldest civilizations on Earth..never fails to amaze me. Good video.

As a Sri Lankan, the one thing I appreciate more is the effort made to do justice to the pronunciation of names.

@janineskywalker527

Lived in Sri Lanka 3 times. Miss this Island very much! J.

@DArmy627

I am a Sri Lankan and a 16 year old student. As I was studying History I came across the part on the Sigiriya water foundations. I always grew interested in this so I came for more info on the internet. As a Sri Lankan I am filled with pride that the foreign population is recognizing the wonders of Sri Lanka at last.

@mikanj.1879

This island holds lot of secrets than it seems.

@Brubarov

I'm currently visiting various ancient sites in Mexico and the numbers of similarities in architecture with ancient asian sites are just mindboggling! Imo the survivors of an ancient cataclysm traveled the world by sea and air to teach their knowledge to the locals and establish dynasties/build cities several millenias ago. I had not heard about this remarquable site so thank you very much :)

@mirrorflame1988

How beautiful! I am ashamed to say I never knew about this beautiful work of art despite being a history buff and living nearby!!

@freethoth

I am 70 and this is the first I've learned of Sigiriya. Fascinating! The mysteries deepen.

@HollyFlowersvilla-xs6hs

Sigiriya, it is nearly 3km away from our villa. What a fantastic view to see it. You should visit it for sure.... Just add it to your list.... Sri Lanka. Is one of best hospitality places on the universe.

@evmollet5418

I’ve been there. It was awesome. Our history is much older than we think.

@reinatycoon3644

This is such an amazing wonder of the world. The advanced water system, architecture, and art that still operates and maintains to this very day 1500+ years later is astounding. Especially considering that it is all built on a giant rock hundreds of feet high! I for sure believe that this was a feat that was aided by extraterrestrials. I feel that all these ancient gods were alien visitors. I just wonder why they stopped visiting us around a little after this era only to return again in the late 1800's or 1900's? What is their goal and purpose in regards to humanity?

@JimmyJamesJimbo

Have you done a video on the Ellora and Ajanta Caves yet? I’d love to hear what your research discovers about it’s origin & purpose! Thanks again for another great video. Your channel does amazing work and asks interesting questions. Cheers -Jimmy

The royal palace of Sigiriya was entered through a path inside the Sigiriya rock. Stairs were not built outside Sigiriya because enemies were coming. It is said that there is another palace inside Sigiriya.

It is said that after the British conquered Sri Lanka, they took all the antiquities there to Britain.

Meanwhile, it is said that there were parts of the Sigiriya treasure. Later, the door is closed and the reason for closing the door is unknown.

But they were cursed by Ravana for stealing the treasure of Sigiriya.

    Some of the antiques are in the British Museum and many are auctioned off among the world's richest men.
