I got a new way to  do it, I add 1 table spoon flaxseed powder with some water  and microwave it 30 sec, then use that to kneed ragi or jwar flour. Since flaxseed make gel when heated with water, it will make a really good dough..and roti will be soft and fula fulaπŸ™‚

Wow. Ragi roti is so soft. I made it today. I didnt add salt and i did nt have any sprouted ragi flour. I put simple ragi flour in hot water. And ragi roti is as soft as wheat roti

Twenty years ago during winter I was staying in a hotel in uttarakhand, high in the hills.  We were the only guests there. The hotel owner served us wheat rotis for dinner, and he was making ragi rotis for himself. Being from karnataka I was delighted to find prople eating ragi high in the Himalayas.
