@MrSupernova111

Pretty cool! Going to get the 1000 plus to get that extra peak capacity and add more batteries later as needed. This will be my first battery solution for appliances. Can't wait! Thanks!!

@ljaysperspective1775

I'm glad you pointed out the limitations of the app. I've seen tons of videos on the Jackery 1000 Plus and no one has mentioned it before this video. Everything under the sun has a pro and a con. It's good to know what our options are. I appreciate the video and the honest review. 👍

@steveparr7816

I stumbled across some of your early videos on this channel, seems like about 8 or so years ago, and have been watching ever since. I've been there for I believe every vehicle you've shown camping here, and I miss the dogs, Wheeler and sweet ole Daisy. And its cool to see when you and Meagan get to camp together in these cool spots Id never want to leave.
I really like what you're doing on the van camping channel, keep it up please. But I just want to say that from this viewer I'd hate to see this channel go away, this is where I came in and really like this style of your camping videos. I hope you can keep both channels going...Peace brother

Jason, I bought my Jackery 1000 Explorer way back when you were giving Amazon discounts on them. I think I paid $799 for the unit. It still runs strong. powers my Iceco Fridge/freezer, runs my HAM radio, charges my phones, etc. my 2 x 100W panels charges it right up during the camping day.

I did however go a different route with a 2000wh battery from Anker to run my travel trailer, (the 767) because it used LiFePO chemistry, had a 30amp RV port, AND a Bluetooth app. It doesn't require a timeout or internet connection, so I bet Jackery figures that out pretty quickly.

@MsAcreage

Thanks for your comments! Any chance the can be hooked together to provide a longer lasting source of power? If so, how can it be accomplished? Thanks a lot!

@johnscherer376

Very helpful. I’m sure Jackery love’s watching your reviews, seriously, for good or not so good comments. My sister bought me a 300. Works great but when I get back out on the road will need something bigger.

@calshondrawilliams1820

I hadn't heard of Jackery until I saw it advertised on my YouTube fishing channels. Me and my family love to fish and camp. I'd love to win one of them. A year or two ago we lost power for around 2 1/2 days. Needless to say, I didn't purchase insurance and I lost a lot of food. This would have been great to own. Thanks for the chance.

@blanston12

Great comments. I found your video because its on the Jackery page for the 1000 plus, given that you beat them up pretty bad about the need for wifi with the app I am surprised they actually put it on the product page. Hopefully that is a good sign that they are going to address that problem. I noticed the same thing on my 300 plus when camping.

@BirdPhish

Looking forward to the next vid!
I'm with you on using the Jackery as back-up for your main system...my Kimbo came with an Ecoflow for house power.... But you know me with the One Wheel and camera stuff to charge along with running the Starlink the Ecoflow alone was not enough power, plus it wouldn't run the induction hob I like for cooking so, like you I'm using the Ecoflow as back-up for a couple of 206amph SOK batteries with a 2200 watt inverter. I ran the SOK's a bit too low one stint and they shut off so I plugged the shore power charger for the SOK's into the Ecoflow inverter and it woke up the SOK's just fine and charged the SOK's until the Ecofolw went dead with no issues.

@The_HomeHandyman

Great points on the weaknesses of the Jackery app. Having to have an internet connection is really big weak point for being on the road or remote areas. Thanks Jason.

@johnmcgee8019

Yep my entire solar goal in the warmer seasons specially is to be able to keep food , I get some relief relief in cooler months

@RhondaBoston-yq5wc

I love the explanation unit. I would like to know more about the solar panels. How fast do they charge?

@rkdm84

Did they ever do anything about the issues you brought up regarding the Bluetooth app functionality??

@PNWXMATT

Morning buddy, love my JACKERY 1000

@Saint_S1

Totally agree that the 1000 Plus separate batteries should have ports to allow charging directly from them. I don’t believe it is a cost cutting feature because the stand alone batteries are very expensive for what they are. Personally, it is what stops me from wanting to ‘invest’ in the separate batteries.

@Average_Middle_Aged_American

I agree with adding usb-c ports to the battery.
These go on sale for under $500 though, which is a heck of a deal.

@JeremiahTownsend

Thanks. Good review. The issues with the app make this pretty much a no go for my use case.

@NanBen-s8t

Would Love to have one so I can help out my family and my clients and anyone else when the grid goes down !

@estrouse123

They should make it so you can turn the unit on through the app. So then you can check the stats

@AJ-sb8qk

9:45 I have no idea why jackery would do that and this is also super frustrating for me. I can't believe with all the ingenuity & creativeness of jackery that they would design the jackery in such a way that after 5 minutes, the Wi-Fi cuts off. Well, that just defeats the whole freakin purpose of having Wi-Fi & a app connection. To be able to turn the lights on, turn different features of the unit on without actually touching it is what I was looking for and I agree with this breakdown completely; It makes the app worthless.The the unit is nice. The app feature is the biggest disappointment & it makes you almost wanna go with the new goal zero
