So excited to see WDR Band here in NYC at Birdland Jazz Club with Bob Mintzer and Dave Stryker on February 26! After following you guys on You Tube for the last few years it will be great to finally see the band live. Birdland is NYCโ€™s greatest jazz club so I know it will be a fantastic experience for we in the audience and for the musicians as well. As a Jazz fan, Iโ€™m spoiled by seeing the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, who I was privileged to see just a couple of weeks ago, and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra that has been doing a Sunday residency at Birdland for over 20 years. WDR has its own flavor and style and I know will be warmly received by Jazz fans at Birdland. Looking forward to an outstanding night of music!

Absolutely fantastic!

A trio with drums, bass, and trombone... Unusual, but made workable and beautiful by John and Hans. :)

Great stuff! I knew the song but the name behind it didnโ€™t ring a bell.
John Klenner (1899 โ€“ 1955) was a German-born American pianist, composer, and lyricist. He composed both classical and popular music and is best known for writing the song "Just Friends" with Sam M. Lewis in 1931.
Played by Charlie Parker, sung by Sinatra and many others, itโ€™s a jazz standard.
