I see a lot of criticism here of the delivery of the lines. I don't agree. The diction is fabulous and exceptionally clear. First, the play is VERY abridged, lots of cuts and a few additions. By and large the delivery is excellent. In particular, the actress who plays Helena is outstanding, as is the actor who plays Bottom. The backstory, a complete addition to the play, wasn't needed. How did this excellent work end up here?

Shakespeare speaks to us regardless of space and time as do Sophocles and Aristophanes. Dress it how you will the language in which the emotions are expressed remind us of our common humanity. And it is well to remember that all of Shakespeare's original productions were played in modern dress.

@sagonybean

Midsummer Night’s Dream is my favorite Shakespeare, and this was a really solid and enjoyable production. Thank you for sharing!

@TheLilleKatt

This is e really nice interpretation of Shakespeare's classic.

@andread3203

Very creative interpretation. Really gets the story across.

@suenewitt2426

Thank heavens I finally have something I can show my 12 and 13 year old students! So hard when directors today feel that there has to be a sex scene in everything! Shakespeare was dealing with only male actors, so it was all suggested but never enacted. Today, oh heck! Throw caution to the winds! Not OK for young students. You want teachers to get their students hooked on Shakespeare? Easy! Leave out sex scenes! Teachers don't need the problems sex scenes cause.

@bakojock3560

This is the best😅

@MasterZcoda

This should have been a joy but i felt very little passion in the words. It felt like it looked, cold and modern. And changing the mystery of the night to broad daylight needs a bit more magic than just that.
There was a lot of potential in the actors but it fell somehow flat. I wasnt gripped.
And please stop the kind of queerbaiting by making some random side characters having a gay love story. If, then create a meaningful adaption.

@LaineyBug2020

They're mumbling and whispering one minute and shouting and screaming the next. There's zero cadence since they're running through the lines as if they're modern speech patterns and not freaking poetry. I can barely understand any of it. And the anachronisms gave me a migraine. I made it to exactly 4:25 before I bailed. Weird choices. I was looking for poetry, my mistake...

@PeterUmuenyen
