I think Hunter x Hunter should have been there instead of Dragon Ball. It released within a year of One Piece, it’s definitely up there as one of the best shounen of all time, and undoubtedly inspired many of the manga and anime featured on here. On top of that it’s still ongoing and it seems to have a more consistent release schedule now.

Depending on the anime I could also see Gachiakuta as its has some of the most striking art I've seen in manga in a while and has one of the more interesting power systems to come out of a shonen
