I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only Brandy fan who has mastered the art of dissecting Brandy's vocals. Like, when I listen to a Brandy song, I am able to shut out the beat and listen to just the vocal layering and then when I'm done with that, I shut out the other layers so that I can listen to just one vocal at a time. My goodness, there is so much to discover in the deep crevices of a Brandy song. I have Brandy music from the early 2000's and I'm still discovering riffs and runs and magic that I hadn't payed attention to before. Brandy songs are like going on an adventure. Right Here (Departed) is my ultimate favorite. It has all these nooks and crannies, like biting into a chocolate and discovering a surprise middle. She layered it nice and thick and lush. Many people don't get this because one needs to go into another "realm" in order to truly discover the essence of Brandy. I love her forever.
