The Temple That Will BLOW YOUR MIND! (Suchindram Temple) | Shakti Peetha Yatra -02

This is one of the most underrated temples I have ever visited, offering countless amazing and unique features to explore. To begin with, the temple is dedicated to the Trimurtis—God Brahma, God Vishnu, and God Shiva. It also houses a rare and fascinating murthi of God Vinayaki, one of the Sixty-four Yoginis and considered a counterpart to God Ganesha.
Another highlight is a massive Nandi Bhagawan murthi made from shell powder, along with a striking murthi of God Garuda. One of the most eye-catching sights is the large God Hanuman murthi, shown bowing to God Rama and Goddess Sita. An unusual aspect of this Hanuman is that the end of his tail rests over his head.
Additionally, you’ll find a beautifully detailed murthi of God Dharmaraja (Yama). Its most astonishing feature is the tiny opening that connects the ears of the murthi, demonstrated by passing a thin stick right through them.
The temple’s corridor seamlessly blends architectural styles from both Kerala and Tamil Nadu, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere.
so without wasting time lets go and visit this temple.
This is shucheendaram temple situated in kanyakumari tamilandu india.

This temple is connected to the Sri Kanyakumari Temple we visited in the previous episode, and we are starting our journey from Kanyakumari. The temple complex covers about two acres and has two gateway towers called gopurams. The main tower, known as the Raja Gopuram, resembles the one at the famous Sree Padmanabhaswami Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Although this temple is in Tamil Nadu, its Sampradaya or puja rituals follow a Kerala-style tradition. Men must remove their shirts or T-shirts before entering that's a strict rule here.
The first shrine we encounter is dedicated to Dhakshinamurthi, who is a form of god Shiva. Nearby, there is a large and fascinating Murthi of Nandi Bhagawan made from shell powder and limestone. Next to Nandi Bhagawan stands a huge Garuda Bhagawan murthi, both facing their respective deities in the garbhagruha. In front of them, there is a rare and remarkable deity of the goddess Vinayaki. Vinayaki is one of the Sixty-four Yoginis, revered in Tantric practices, and her sculptures are typically found in Yogini temples, especially in Madhya Pradesh or Orissa.
Starting from the left side, there is a beautiful corridor that leads all the way to the right side of the garbhagruha. This corridor combines architectural elements from both Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It is adorned with numerous lamps shaped like graceful ladies holding lights. The pillars feature intricate carvings, such as an old woman walking with an umbrella and various dancers. The colorful floral designs on the ceiling add to the magical atmosphere. On the right side of the corridor, there is a large rock covered in ancient Tamil inscriptions about the temple’s construction and the kings of old.
