The prophet Jeremiah went through times of great anguish, famine in the land and destruction of his home city. He wrote the book of Lamentations based on his prophecies – which were ignored – and the consequences for Jerusalem. Yet, through all these things, he maintained his trust and faith in God recounting His unfailing mercies and compassion. He is a fine role model in this regard
