Everyone loves a good beat em up game whether its an arcade beat em up or a home console beat em up...and whether its a 2D beat em up or a 3D beat em up! It's the genre of Final Fight from Capcom, Streets of Rage from Sega and Splatterhouse from Namco and there are SO MANY games in this retro gaming genre that just dont get enough attention...so its time to talk about the best beat em ups that remain obscure or unloved in one way or another! Because these are some of the best retro games around...I think?

Up Next: Arabian Fight! If you took Streets of Rage on the Sega Genesis and combined it together with Golden Axe...out pops Arabian Fight! It might not be the best beat em up ever or the best Sega game ever...but it certainly has its charms and its one of the best LOOKING 2D beat em up games ever made!
