Ezekiel 5:1-17, KV 3
“But take a few hairs and tuck them away in the folds of your garment.”

Daily Bread
1) Obeying God.
God’s people didn’t follow His laws. They were even worse than the nations around them, who were ignorant of God’s word. As people who know what the Bible says, we have a higher standard to live by. We recognize God’s sovereignty in our lives and are responsible for following His commands. But if someone compared your life to someone’s in the world, would they see a clear difference? Is it obvious that following God is important to you? We should show in our everyday choices that we are committed to obeying and honoring God.

2) The importance of remaining close to God.
The few hairs tucked in Ezekiel’s garment symbolize the protection and salvation for those who stay close to God. This shows us how important it is to keep a close relationship with God, especially in a world that often doesn’t follow His ways. Make it a daily habit to read the Bible, pray, and join in community worship. These practices strengthen your commitment to living a life that honors God and keep you among those who are protected by His grace.

Prayer: Lord, guide me to make wise decisions that reflect Your truth and love. Keep me close to You and protected from the world’s influences. Remind me of Your saving grace. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

One Word: Stay close to God!
