Here are the poses along with helpful variations to try:
1. Table top crunches (or insert any core strengthening) A strong core is key for preventing back pain or injury.
👉I chose this core exercise because it’s low impact. Eagle Pose crunches are another low impact core strengthening option.
2. Cobra Pose
Excellent pose for your posture! Chest and psoas stretch help you stand up taller (tight psoas can also contribute to back pain). Strengthens spinal extensor muscles
👉More gentle option: Try wide legs and/or low cobra (just chin and chest off mat)
3. Bow Pose
This awesome pose stretches your hip flexors and strengthens your back and glutes muscles. Strong glutes fortify and protect your low back.
👉Variations to try: One leg at a time (opposite arm and leg extended long), or wrap towel or yoga strap around your ankles and grip that instead
