Daily Bread
1) God uses imperfect people.
The genealogy of Jesus shows that God works through imperfect people to accomplish His plans. Many of the names listed, like David, Tamar, Rahab, and Solomon, had struggles or made mistakes. Yet, God still used them to bring Jesus into the world. This is a great reminder that no matter what we’ve done or what challenges we face, God can use us for His purposes, too. We don’t have to be perfect to be part of His plan. Trust that God sees your potential and wants to work through your life to bring goodness and hope to others.

2) God always keeps his promises.
This list also shows how God kept His promise to send a Savior through Abraham and David’s family. Even though it took many generations, and included hard times like the exile to Babylon, God’s plan never failed. God always keeps His promises, even if it takes time. When life feels uncertain, remember that God is faithful and will fulfill what He has promised in His Word. Keep trusting Him and hold on to the hope that He is working everything out for His good purpose.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for always keeping Your promises and being faithful no matter what. Thank You for showing me that You can use someone like me, even with my flaws and mistakes, to do amazing things. Help me trust Your plans and believe that You have a purpose for my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
