“Today, when people ask me, ‘Where did you get the courage to take this leap of faith?’ I just smile and say, ‘My mom.’

You see, I come from very humble beginnings. My dad was the only one working, and growing up, I saw my mom struggle to make her own identity within our home—it was heartbreaking. I had only seen her take care of the house my whole life. She wanted to work at one point, but one of my brothers was physically and mentally challenged, so for the longest time, she just couldn’t leave his side. Despite her sacrifices, she was blamed for my brother’s condition. But my mom stood strong—and that’s exactly where I draw my strength from.
That’s how I began to dream big. One day, while scrolling through Facebook, I came across an ad. I applied and even got a reply. But the hardest part was telling my parents that I wanted to go to Bombay because I had received a random audition message from Facebook. I was sure in my head that I wanted to try, because if I had seen someone else in that role later, I would have regretted not trying. When I told my mom, she was extremely supportive.
So, I saved up some money, booked the tickets to Bombay, and came here for the audition with my brother. And guess what? I got the part. That’s how my journey began.”
