Coconut & Sambal is Australian/Indonesian chef Lara Lee’s first cookbook, published all the way back in 2020.

This book has been on our list for a long time thanks to an Indonesian friend of ours who recommended it profusely, but without any experience cooking Indonesian food, I was always a little intimidated to crack it open. But if there are two ingredients we’re always excited to see in a dish, coconut and sambal are right there at the top of the list, so we finally dove in. I hope you enjoy our week with Coconut & Sambal.
