Daily Bread
1) God's presence requires holiness.
In Ezekiel's vision, God's glory leaving the temple shows that God's presence can't stay where there's constant sin and rebellion. For the Israelites, their ongoing idolatry and disobedience caused God to leave. Think of your life as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Are there areas where you've been disobedient or careless? It’s important for us to check our actions and thoughts regularly and ask God to expose any unconfessed sins. When we aim to live in a way that honors God, we can keep our life pure and welcome Him to work in our lives.

2) The consequences of ignoring God’s warnings.
The scattering of coals over the city represents the judgment for unrepentant sin. Even though prophets warned them many times, Israel and Judah didn't turn back to God, leading to severe consequences. It's important for us to take God's warnings seriously. Whether you're studying the Bible, attending church, or praying, if you feel convicted about certain behaviors or attitudes, don't ignore these feelings. Instead, we should see them as loving corrections meant to guide us back to a closer relationship with God. Remember God is more concerned about building your character than giving you comfort.

Prayer: Lord, help me to maintain a heart that is soft toward you, receptive to Your Word, and quick to repent. May my life be a place where your glory is welcomed and honored. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
