Ezekiel 44:1-31, KV 3
“The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”

Daily Bread
1) The role of the true High Priest.
Ezekiel speaks of a prince who can freely enter through the gate, symbolizing Jesus, our High Priest, who bridges the gap between us and God. Unlike earthly priests who allowed the unholy into sacred places, Jesus perfectly represents us before God, and makes sure we can come to Him in a holy way. Through Jesus's priesthood, we can pray directly to God at any time, anywhere, no matter how many times we ask. Jesus is available, 24/7. Let this truth strengthen your prayer life, knowing He intercedes for you. Will you come to Jesus and accept Him as your true High Priest?

2) Holy Service
The priests of Zadok were praised for staying faithful during difficult times. As a reward, they were honored to serve directly before God and teach others the difference between what is holy and what is not. We are also called to understand and teach these differences to others. Whether at work, home, church or with friends, strive to learn what it means to live a holy life set apart for God's purposes. Become more like Christ by reading His word, growing as a Bible teacher, and living as God’s chosen people. Remember, God has called and chosen you for His purpose, so let this guide your actions and decisions every day.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your one and only Son Jesus as our High Priest. It is because of Him that we can come to You and live a new life as Your people. Lead us by Your Spirit to serve You faithfully, recognizing the holy calling You have given us as part of Your royal priesthood. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
