This is something I've been wanting to do for more than a decade and although its far from perfect, this is one of my favourite things I've made. I've listened to Pink Moon hundreds of times. It's been a trusted friend through many dark periods, taught me elite finger-style playing and inspired me to be bold with just an acoustic guitar and a voice on my own path. A little over 50 years since this album was released and it still holds such a unique place among the greatest albums of all time.

One of the most difficult aspects of playing Nick Drake's music is his delayed vocal timing while playing rhythmically idiosyncratic yet very solid guitar parts. He was in a league of his own in that respect and working through these tunes reminded me of this fact. I still have a ways to go in mastering these details. The real Drake-nerds out there will surely spot a few more parts I missed and that's fine by me. Tuning discrepancies, incorrect finger picking patterns, notes or chords, even wrong lyrics (Nick had a habit of mumbling) have long been part of the challenge in replicating his style. And so, my apologies if I'm doing anything "wrong" here. I've been studying his music for 15 years and I'm still learning new things! I am not worthy! (full prostration).

It's one of the most important albums of my life and I only wish Nick could have known what kind of impact his music would have on people like myself. Thank you Nick for this beautiful music and may you be at peace wherever you are.
