1 Samuel 28:15-25, KV 19
“The Lord will deliver both Israel and you into the hands of the Philistines,
and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me.
The Lord will also give the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines.”

Daily Bread:
1) The grave consequences of disobedience.
Saul's life shows us what happens when we ignore God's commands. He had many chances to obey God, but he kept doing things his own way. This led to God leaving him. Samuel's prophecy tells us that disobedience doesn't just hurt the person who disobeys—it can also affect others and what happens in the future. As a student, it’s important to understand that your choices and actions have consequences. Disobedience to God’s principles may offer short-term gains but ultimately leads to loss and separation from God's blessings. We should seek to make decisions that align with God’s Word, knowing that true success is found in obedience to Him alone.

2) The importance of staying connected to God.
Saul's downfall happened because he drifted away from God, which left him feeling scared and hopeless. This teaches us how vital it is to stay close to God, especially when we face tough times and big decisions. In your academic and personal life, staying connected to God is critical. We must keep nurturing our relationship with God through regular prayer, Bible study, and spending quality time with Him. When challenges arise, instead of turning away from God or seeking ungodly solutions, draw nearer to Him. Who better than God to turn to, knowing He hears us and understands us better than we understand ourselves? His Word promises guidance, peace, and wisdom to those who seek Him wholeheartedly.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, keep me close to Your Word and Your ways. Let me not be swayed by the fear of circumstances or the pull of disobedience. Strengthen my heart to always choose Your path, so that I may live a life filled with Your peace and presence. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
