So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the people of Israel.”

Daily Bread
1) Empathy through intercession.
When Ezekiel reenacted the siege of Jerusalem, he showed the exiles what was happening and encouraged them to pray for their city. This shows us how crucial empathy is—understanding and sharing the feelings of others, especially those going through hard times. We can build empathy by helping others, praying for them, or listening to their experiences. Philippians 2:4 reminds us, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." When we care about others, we create a supportive community that stands together in tough times. Let’s act today by reaching out to others in need and showing them compassion and support.

2) Bearing one another's burdens.
When Ezekiel lay on his side for 390 days, he symbolically took on the people’s sins. This teaches us that Christians should help carry each other's burdens (Galatians 6:2). We should support those who are struggling, whether through prayer, encouragement, or practical help. Look for ways to assist others facing stress, like academic pressure or personal issues. When we offer our time, listen to others, or help them find resources that can alleviate their burdens, we not only help them but also remind ourselves of the truth we share with them. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me truly understand and care about others' struggles. Equip me to support and pray for my church family and others, showing the same love and sacrifice you have shown to me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

One Word: Offer a heart of empathy and compassion for others!
