The Cauldron - Blind Mary and Hewlett (Turlough O'Carolan)

The Cauldron pair this lovely air with a bouyant, frolicking little tune.

Blind Mary, a lovely tender air. In Donal Sullivan's book, Carolan: The Life Times and Music of an Irish Harper, it is stated that although, there is no direct evidence of this tune being by O'Carolan that it is possibly composed by him for Maire Dall (Blind Mary), a blind woman harper.

On Hewlett, Sullivan says that although the subject is unknown, because of its characteristics, it is almost certainly a tune composed by O'Carolan.
