Maha Sudarshana Homa (महा सुदर्शन होम)

Maha Sudarshana Homa is a fire ritual performed to alleviate sufferings of any sort. It invokes the power of Sudarshana, the Disc of Vishnu, to conquer enemies and sufferings. Sudarshana homa is widely performed at Vaishnavite temples (Vishnu, Rama, Krishna) while the details are mentioned in the Pancharatra Agamic texts. The Sudarshana Chakra protects Ambarisha from the wrath of Sage Durvasa in Hindu mythology.
