Target is usually on point when it comes to designer partnerships, collaborations, and product launches. However, there was a short time where consumers were not in love with target. It was around the pandemic time and people were not feeling the long dresses and puffy sleeves that were reminiscent of simple living. It was nowhere near what we were used to in the Isaac Mizrahi and Mossimo days. They went back to the drawing board and revamped their approach to diversity and we were introduced to the "Future Collective", Tabitha Brown collections, Houston White, just to name a few. It also have many social media influencers and stylists the spotlight. Not to mention Target became the new affordable Steven Madden (designer inspired) but that's a conversation for another day.
