Using Molasses in the Garden, Adding More Compost to the Plot and Trellising Tomatoes

Welcome to my NYC Urban Garden! My name in Mari and I'm gardening in Queens, NYC zone 7b.

Podcast I mention in the video: notillflowers.libsyn.com/the-magical-brix-number-t…

Link to get free NYC compost: www.nyc.gov/site/dsny/what-we-do/programs/compost-…

I used unsulphured molasses for this application

How to use molasses in the garden:
1. Spray on leaves, or drench
Mix 2 tablespoons of molasses per gallon of water and spray directly on plant leaves. The nutrients will absorbed quickly this way.
2. Pour on soil
Add molasses at a rate of 1 to 3 tablespoons (14-44 ml.) to 1 gallon (3.5 L.) of water and drench on the soil to feed the soil life.

You can apply molasses in the garden every week or every ten days.
