ABOUT BAJRANGBALI
Bajrangbali is a name for the Indian god Hanuman. Behind his name Bajrangbali is also the contribution of the word Vajra. There is a word in Sanskrit Vajraḥ or Vajram which means lightning, Indra's weapon, diamond or steel. It is from this that the word Vajra in Hindi is derived. The vajra that Indra had was made from the bones of Maharishi Dadhichi. Hanuman was the son of Vanaraja Kesari and Anjani. Kesari was blessed by the sages to have a very strong and serviceable child. That's why Hanuman's body was as hard as iron. That's why he came to be called Vajrang. Being very powerful, the word Bali was added to Vajrang and his name became Vajrangbali, which became Bajrangbali in colloquial language. He is also called the son of Marut i.e. the wind god, hence one of his names is also called Maruti i.e. fast like the wind.
