Daily Bread
1) God invites everyone to know Him.
Solomon prayed for people from other nations who came to worship God at the temple. He believed they would hear about God’s incredible power and love and feel drawn to know Him. God’s love has no limits. He doesn’t care about a person’s background, race, or even their past mistakes. The Bible says, “Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). If God’s heart is this big, shouldn’t ours be too? Our church should be like the temple—a place where people can experience His love firsthand. When we love, support, and help others, we’re not only being kind; we’re showing them who God is. Let’s be intentional about opening our hearts to others, praying for them, and courageously sharing the hope and love of Jesus.

2) Repentance and God’s forgiveness.
Solomon also prayed for the Israelites. He knew they would sin and face hard consequences, such as captivity. However, he also knew that if they realized their mistakes, turned back to God, and prayed, God would forgive and help them. We all mess up sometimes, but God never gives up on us. When we repent and ask Him to help us change, He gives us a fresh start. If you ever feel overwhelmed by your mistakes, remember that you can always pray and turn to God for forgiveness. Encourage your friends to do the same, reminding them that no problem is too big or too small for God. He is our Savior and Healer, ready to give us a new heart and guide us in the right direction when we focus on Him.

Prayer: God, thank You for inviting everyone to know You and for loving us no matter our background or mistakes. Despite all the times I’ve messed up, I thank You for never giving up on me. Please guide me as I turn to You for forgiveness and a fresh start. Help me share Your love with others so they may see Your greatness and know You personally as well. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
