Shawarmas are one my favorite recipes to make and delicious on the go .
Simple ingredients with incredible flavors.
INGREDIENTS
2 lb Beef, Top round , sliced and cut very thin
1/2 Yellow/ sweet onion, sliced
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 cup green bell pepper
1 tsp shawarma spice
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tbs Coriander
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 Lemon zested and juiced
2 Cloves garlic, grated or finely chopped
1 tsp kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Sauce
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 tbs mayonnaise
1tbs lemon juice and zest ( reserved )
1 tsp garlic, grated
1 tbs red wine vinegar
1 tsp Dijon mustard
pinch red pepper flakes ( optional )
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbs cilantro ,chopped ( optional )
For the salad
2 cups , finely sliced green cabbage
1/2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 scallions, chopped
1/2 cup cilantro
