Zechariah 10:1-12, KV 4
“From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg,
from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.”

1) Jesus as our foundation.
The passage reminds us that God Himself provides the "cornerstone" for His people, and that cornerstone is Jesus Christ. A cornerstone is the first stone laid in a building’s foundation, holding everything together. Without a firm cornerstone, the entire structure would collapse. Jesus is the foundation of our faith, life, and victory. Oftentimes, it’s easy to build your life around your achievements, relationships, or future goals. But remember that Jesus is your true foundation. When life feels unstable, lean on Him as your cornerstone. Start each day with prayer, trust in His guidance, and make your decisions with Him as your foundation. Let Jesus hold your life together, especially during challenging times.

2) God’s mercy and strength.
Even though God allowed the Israelites to face punishment for their sin, He also promised to save and strengthen them. Through Jesus, we experience the same mercy and strength. Despite our mistakes and failures, God forgives us and renews our strength through Christ, enabling us to live victoriously. When you stumble or feel burdened by guilt, don’t give up. Trust in God’s mercy and know that His forgiveness is always available through Jesus. Take time to confess your sins, receive His grace, and rely on His strength to move forward. Share this message of mercy with others who may feel weighed down by their own struggles, offering them hope in Christ.

Prayer: Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be the cornerstone of my life. Help me to rely on Him in everything I do, trusting in Your mercy and strength to guide me. Strengthen me to live in victory over sin and to be a witness of Your grace to others. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
