Writing a book is easy. Writing a book well with engaging characters, immersive settings, and elaborate stories with a length of about three hundred pages is less so… considerably less so. However, it’s definitely doable, so if you’re wanting to write better, or even figure out where to even start, I hope this is helpful.

Here, we address the idea of maps, because a lot of fantasy books and series have them. Maps are a great way to get your audience immediately interested in your world, and they provide a great reference for people to be able to follow along with. I’m arguing, here, that if the world is created, then the writer should have a map to keep things organized. Whether the writer includes it in the book or not is up to them, but at the least, it’s an important reference tool.
