'Golden Hour' by American singer-songwriter, JVKE, is a mesmerizing and uplifting song that took the world by storm. Upon its release, the song became viral on various social media platforms & it quickly became an international hit. It beautifully captures the warmth & radiance of being in love. The lyrics paint a picture of a deep connection & a sense of joy that comes with being with someone special. The song's soothing melody & tender vocals create an atmosphere of pure bliss & delight. The captivating piano riff of this song is delicate & graceful, creating a soothing & dreamy atmosphere. Overall, 'Golden Hour' is truly an enchanting love song that expresses the feeling of being lovestruck.

My hometown friends & I decided to produce a cover of this beautiful love song since this song happened to be our favorite song. This cover song was recorded by Bubblelicia, Teetee Jay, Lightlow & myself, and it was fabulously produced by our music producer friend, twotw09five. The lyrics of the 2nd verse of our cover song was re-written by Bubblelicia & this gave our cover song a wonderful twist with her melancholic lyrics. There was also a little bit of reharmonization from 2nd pre-chorus onwards and also a viola solo section towards the end of the song to add to that melancholic feel.

The music video was recorded in my hometown, the island of Penang (also known as Pulau Pinang), Malaysia. It was filmed at 2 different locations - View Point Wave Breaker, Tanjung Tokong (nearby Tua Pek Kong, Tanjung Tokong) & the pier at Outfall Sungai Batu Feringghi (nearby Frandy Beach Bar & Restaurant). The music video was filmed by 2 amazing Penang-based professional photographers & videographers, Pearson & Yu Sheng. Video editing was done by them as well, and we really like their work on this music video very much. If you have any photography / videography work that needs to be done in Penang, do contact Pearson! To me, the video seems to have the vintage kind of feel that I really like. In the video, you'll be able to see the beautiful sceneries by the beaches of the 2 filming locations (at the Norther part of Penang Island)
