Process Of Installing Plastic Snow Chains !

A Little Wisdom Helps You Become Smarter !

The following are the installation steps for polyurethane (also known as ox tendon material) car snow chains :

Preparation work

Check the snow chains :
Check whether the snow chains are complete and free of damage, glue separation and other issues. Make sure that components such as chains and buckles can be used normally. Meanwhile, confirm that their specifications match the vehicle tires !

Prepare tools and the site :
Prepare simple tools like wrenches. Choose a flat, dry and open area for installation. Pull the handbrake and put the vehicle in the parking gear (for automatic transmission vehicles) or the neutral gear (for manual transmission vehicles). It's best to use bricks or the like to block the wheels to prevent the vehicle from sliding !

Clean the tires

Use a clean rag to wipe the surface of the tires to remove impurities such as dust, stones, ice and snow, making the tire surface as clean as possible. This helps the snow chains fit the tires better !

Place the snow chains

Spread out the snow chains :
Lay the snow chains flat on the ground in front of the tires, making sure that the chain parts are not tangled or knotted so that they can smoothly wrap around the tires !

Put the tires into the snow chains :
Align the tires with the center of the snow chains and slowly roll the tires over the snow chains so that the snow chains are put on the tires. Pay attention to keeping the chain buckles and other devices on the outside of the tires to facilitate subsequent operations !

Fix the snow chains

Connect the chain buckles :
According to the design of the snow chains, connect the chain buckles to each other. Some are connected by hooks, and some are fastened by buckles. Make sure that the connection is firm. During the connection process, the tightness of the chains can be adjusted appropriately !

Adjust the tightness :
Use tools such as wrenches to further adjust the tightness at the chain buckles. Generally, it is appropriate that the chains can cling tightly to the tires and when you press the middle part of the chains with your fingers, there is about 1 - 2 centimeters of downward space. If it is too loose, it won't have an anti-slip effect, and if it is too tight, it may damage the tires !

Check the installation effect

Overall check :
Walk around the tires to check whether the snow chains are installed flatly, whether all the chain buckles are connected properly, and whether the chains are twisted or offset !

Test check :
After the installation is completed, start the vehicle slowly and drive a short distance to feel the working state of the snow chains and listen for any abnormal noises. If there are any problems, stop the vehicle in time and recheck and adjust !
