'Sejahtera Malaysia' is a famous Malaysian patriotic song. This happens to be one of my all-time top favorite Malaysian patriotic song. I love this song very much because it expresses the people's love towards our country, Malaysia. This song also talks about the unity among people of different races and religions, and the peace and harmony that we all have despite our differences. Besides that, this song has a very beautiful melody and the words used in this song are really meaningful. Each time I listen to this song, it never fails to move me to tears. I hope that you'll all enjoy my rendition of this song.

Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Malaysians Happy Independence Day and Happy Malaysia Day!

For your information, August 31st is the day Malaysia celebrates Independence Day and September 16th is the day Malaysia celebrates Malaysia Day.

On August 31st, 2021, Malaysia will be celebrating its 64th Independence Day. The Independence Day of Malaysia commemorates the Malayan Declaration of Independence of August 31st, 1957. August 31st, 1957 was the day when Malaya obtained independence from the British rule. That was the day when our 1st Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman, proclaimed 'MERDEKA' 7 times at Dataran Merdeka to declare that Malaya had obtained its independence. For your information, before September 16th, 1963, Malaysia was known as Malaya.

On the other hand, Malaysia Day commemorates the formation of Malaysia. Malaysia was formed on September 16th, 1963 and this formation saw the union of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak & Singapore. However, Singapore became a country of its own on August 9th, 1965. On September 16th, 2021, Malaysia will be celebrating its 58th anniversary.
