Cantabile n° 2 “FOR YOU” | Enrico Pasini (1935–2022) | Bätz organ Lutheran church The Hague (HW)

I have all 170 published Cantabiles by Pasini in my organ studio—treasured books filled with music, though some pieces are even more cherished than the rest. This is one of them.

I’ve already recorded it twice, on different organs. But in a world that grows more chaotic by the day, sharing music that is a pure outpouring of love feels like a small way to restore balance. Beyond that, this piece is simply too beautiful to fade into obscurity; I want to keep it alive in our collective memory. I recorded this piece late Wednesday night after a long, long day with lots of (professional) talks about public safety and security in a rapidly changing world (my day job).
