“I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it;
rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.”

1) The gospel’s power to change people.
Apostle Paul makes a very important point by saying, “…the gospel I preached is not of human origin.” It was not Paul’s own ideas or perspective he was teaching; it was the Word of God revealed to him by Jesus Christ. This is a humbling reminder for us to consider. It’s not our words or eloquent speech that convince people to follow Jesus. The gospel itself is backed by God’s power to convict and change people’s hearts. As you are given opportunities to share the gospel, remember that the gospel of Jesus Christ comes directly from God. Let’s have confidence to proclaim it as truth and the only way to live a new life!
2) Sharing how the gospel changed us.
Paul radically transformed from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted apostle for Christ. This highlights the gospel’s power to give our lives a completely new direction, full of hope, meaning, and satisfaction found in God. Reflect on your own life. How has the gospel changed you? As you interact with people from your campus or workplace, share your testimony. Your transformation is a wonderful example of the gospel’s power. People may try to argue with theology and historical facts, but no one can disprove your personal experience of being transformed by Christ.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gospel that comes from You and not from human wisdom. Help me to hold onto this truth and have the courage to share it. Use my life as a living testimony of the gospel’s power, showing others the amazing change You bring. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
One Word: Testify about God’s transforming work in me!
