JESUS IS THE MESSIAH

John 4:1-26 | Key Verse: 4:26

“Then Jesus declared, `I, the one speaking to you – I am he’.”

I. JESUS MEETS THE SAMARITAN WOMAN
V. 4-5, “Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.”

First, Jesus doesn’t discriminate.
Second, Jesus reaches out.

II. TRANSFORMATION THROUGH JESUS
V. 15, “The woman said to him, `Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.’”

First, confront the sin in my life.
V. 17, she replied, “I have no husband.”

Second, make Jesus the focus of my worship
Read V. 19-20: “`Sir,’ the woman said, `I can see that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.’”

1st, in Spirit.
2nd, in Truth.

Third, meet the Messiah – Jesus Christ.
V. 26 “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”

One Word: Jesus is my Messiah!
