Daily Bread:
1) Seeking God’s will.
Before moving to Judah, David asked the LORD if it was the right thing to do. He truly loved God and wanted to make sure he was following God's will. We need that same kind of love to do what is right in God's eyes. We should seek God’s guidance before making important decisions. By doing this, we are making sure that our choices align with His plans, not just our own desires. Do you pray and ask God for His direction before making decisions? God shouldn’t just be a part of our lives; He should be the center of it. Our decisions should revolve around His plan and His will for us. Will you seek God’s will from now on?
2) Trust in God’s timing.
David’s example of patience teaches us the importance of trusting in God’s perfect timing. Rather than taking matters into his own hands, he waited for God's sign to become king, showing his deep respect for God's authority in his life. We need to practice that same patience. Waiting can be tough, but it teaches us to fully rely on God. In your academic, professional, or personal life, trust that God will bring the right opportunities at the right time. Let’s have faith that God’s plan and timing is better than ours!
Prayer: Lord, help me to seek Your will and wait on Your timing as David did. May my decisions reflect Your guidance, and may I trust in Your perfect plan for my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
One Word: Wait for God’s timing!
