In photo editing, A curve is a remapping of image tonality, A tool to create or adjust blacks, shadows, mid tones, highlight and whites in a photo, which makes Curves a very powerful tool in Adobe Lightroom. Curves can usually be applied to all channels together in an image, or to each channel individually. Applying a curve to all channels typically changes the brightness in part of the spectrum. Light parts of a picture can be easily made lighter and dark parts darker to increase contrast. With curves we can adjust Red, Green and Blue tonal range also, also secondary colors Cyan, Magenta and Yellow.
