We crossed the Arcadian Mountains to Kastanitsa! Bikepacking Nafplio to Sparta - Greece

Day two of our Greek Bikepacking adventure from Athens to Sparta. This was to be my highest ever ascent in a day! The peak was higher than Ben Nevis (the highest point in Great Britian, so something I'd really not have tried before. Having trained in the Chilean's mountains Francisco was more than prepared for the challenge!

The cycle to Kastanitsa, ascending the mountain pass from the coastal town of Astros, is a journey that challenges the body and rewards the spirit in equal measure.
