Marshall Gilkes & WDR BIG BAND - Fresh Start | Konzert

Marshall Gilkes (trombone, conductor) plays a series of his new compositions together with the WDR BIG BAND. Recorded as part of the concert “Fresh Start” at the WDR JAZZCLUB / Cologne in November 2022.

Marshall Gilkes was a member of the WDR Big Band from 2010 to 2014 and has been coming to Cologne with new material ever since. With “Fresh Start”, he returns as a trombonist, composer and bandleader: “A lot of the music I write these days is inspired by people and places, especially my two children.”
