In this video, I pitch my startup to James Currier, the founder of NFX (@nfxinsights ) one of the largest early-stage VC firms in the world. With half a billion dollars under management, James is a top expert in early-stage startups, and his feedback is brutally honest. I present my vision for a fitness app inspired by Duolingo and BeReal, designed to make gym consistency addictive through gamification, AI accountability, and social pressure. But James doesn’t hold back—he challenges the entire premise of the idea, questions the market opportunity, and forces me to reconsider everything. This was one of the toughest investor meetings I’ve ever had. Was my startup doomed from the start? Watch to find out.
Disclaimer: NfX is the largest dedicated pre-seed and seed-stage venture capital (VC) firm in the world, and not the largest VC in general. However, that wouldn't have made a catchy enough title and thumbnail, so I shortened it to just "biggest investor".
