In 1945, one of history's greatest archaeological discoveries revealed a collection of hidden books near the Nile River in Egypt. Inside a clay jar, a set of bound books from around 350 AD, nearly 1700 years old, were preserved! None of these texts were accepted by the Church as orthodox and therefore left out of the Bible.

But they share striking parallels with the Bhagavad Gita and important yogic concepts. Here, we'll compare the Bhagavad Gita with excerpts from four Nag Hammadi texts: The Gospel of Truth, The Gospel of Philip, The Second Treatise of the Great Seth, and the Tripartite Tractate. We'll explore verses and concepts from the Bhagavad-Gita, covering these key topics: 1) Illusion of the World, 2) Body vs. Soul, 3) The 3 Bodies of the Self and 4) Knowledge as The Path to Liberation.
