Louis Vierne's Vigorous Organ Music based on the Bells of Longpont

Louis Vierne (1870 - 1937), a pupil of Franck and Widor wrote this vigorous organ music after hearing the carillon bells in the chapel of the Château de Longpont in Aisne, France. The tower of the carillon was destroyed in 1917 but was rebuilt in 1923. The bells were never replaced. Here is an interesting webpage about a project to bring the bells back in operation.
