Ezekiel 38:1-23, KV 23
“And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

Daily Bread
1) God is in control over all nations and armies.
In this passage, God spoke to Ezekiel about Gog, a leader of many armies from different nations, who planned to attack Israel. God was against Gog and would lead him into battle, not to help him win, but to show His power. Even though Gog gathered a huge army, God is the One in control. In our lives, no matter how great problems or oppositions seem, God is greater and His plans always come first. God protects His people and is always on their side. Let’s have confidence today that when we stand with God, He stands with us.

2) God will prove His greatness and holiness.
When Gog and his armies attacked Israel, God promised to stop them and show everyone His power. He described how He would cause a great earthquake, storms, and chaos among Gog’s armies, defeating them with His mighty judgment. This wasn’t just about defending Israel—it was about God showing the world His holiness and power. During difficult times, we might be tempted to place our hope in worldly things like money, status, or relationships. But God is the only one who can give us real security and strength to handle our problems. The Bible says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God" (Psalm 20:7). Will you trust God and put your hope in Him today?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me that You are holy and powerful, and that I can trust You to protect me and guide me through hard times. Help me to put my hope in You instead of relying on things in this world, knowing that You are my true source of security and strength. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
