"Buddhist Symphony" is a song from the album, Tantra, recorded in 1989 by Zazen and produced by Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz.

Tantra was inspired by Beethoven's string quartets as a musical model, which is apparent in Zazen's intense, angular and complex composition of the songs on this album. Tantra ventures beyond Zazen's typical New Age sensibilities into the realm of progressive rock and jazz fusion with their innovative use of complex time signatures and harmonic structures. The songs also retain the intense, meditative quality indicative of Zazen's other albums.
