So I decided to capture the previews and ending of a Nickelodeon VHS in my collection.
It's set to Made for Kids because after reviewing the rules, I could not see why this wouldn't qualify as such.
More VHS previews like this: • VHS Previews

How I made this video:
1) Played the VHS out of a Sony SLV-N81 VCR, through a DIMAX GREX video stabilizer (removing Macrovision) and into a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K
2) Saved the raw capture from the Intensity with VEGAS Video Capture
3) Processed and upscaled raw capture using AVISynth+ (script below) and Virtualdub2 to downscale and save to Apple ProRes format
4) Resynced audio and compressed to H.265 (100,000 kb/s) in DaVinci Resolve
5) Uploaded here
The whole process never drops below 10 bits
AVISynth+ Script:
SetFilterMTMode("DEFAULT_MT_MODE", 2)
FFmpegSource2("F:\Users\Me\Videos\this video.avi")
ConvertToYUY2()
QTGMC( Preset="Very Slow", SourceMatch=3, Lossless=2, MatchEnhance=0.75, TR2=1, Sharpness=0.1) # Choose preset based on overall speed/quality you want. See Y below
nnedi3_rpow2 (rfactor = 8)
#Enable MT!
